Narconon Vancouver Society is an independent, non-profit secular corporation directly serving the Greater Vancouver region and reaching into every Canadian town with prevention programs and rehab consulting services. The purpose of Narconon Vancouver is to reduce drug abuse by providing drug education services and consulting to create an increasing number of drug-free people in society.
Drug Education: Narconon Vancouver has a series of drug educational videos and lesson plans, or Teachers Kits, specifically for use in the classroom and easily delivered by any teacher. We also have DVDs and booklets on prevention and rehabilitation, specifically for families and parents. One of these DVDs is an Aurora Award winner – 2006 Category: Entertainment / Documentary for Children and Youth (B 03) (see www.auroraawards.com). Narconon® also delivers live presentations and information to youth called “The Truth About Drugs Talks”. Another series of live talks called “Why parents are the last to know” teaches parents how to educate their children about drugs and alcohol. Narconon also provides work place sessions for adults that are presented in a context to improve efficiency and health.
When addiction is already a problem, we teach techniques on how to withdraw a person from drugs at home and teach life skills to keep people off drugs. This service is called Narconon First Step. This program can be done using manuals purchased for home use or in an at home workshop. In addition, we consult and refer those individuals with drug-abuse problems to Narconon detoxification and rehabilitation centers.

Narconon Vancouver has been a licensed member with Narconon International since October, 1999. Narconon uses the drug rehabilitation research of humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard® in the pursuits of creating a more drug-free society. When speaking to kids and parents, Narconon utilizes the latest discoveries on the harm of drugs as well as Hubbard’s research into addiction. We provide insight into the bio-chemical effects of drugs on the human body, mind and life. Narconon’s purpose is to work with others to decrease and ultimately eliminate drug abuse in society. |
